gauge problems

Im not quit sure where I put mine, havent looked at my engine for a few hours. But the sending unit is on the thermostat. Theres 2 or 3 sensores there....theres on on the bottom by the block/head thats the coolant sensor. the other one to the left is the sending unit. I left my stock one on and added a autometer sending unit/gauge on the left side on the housing. I think there might be a plug you can take out and add a sending unit in. But I dont remember  , so I dont know if ill be of any help but I tried. I'll look tomorrow and tell you if no one else replies.

But if your replacing the stock sensor with a new one....make sure your car is running and unplug the sensors one at a time( like i said dont remember if theres 2 or 3 ) and see if the gauge dies( if the gauge works to begin with ). If it does you have the right one, if not try again. But I do know the far bottom right one with 2 prongs on it is the temp sensor( just replaced mine today )

Since you know what a sending unit is, hopefully you know where the thermostat housing is. Its right below the radiator cap if you dont.

Good Luck ;)
