I own a 90' FWD turbo eclipse, I gutted the interior out of it, after the new dash was in and everything, I started it up and the gauges are wrong, it reads hot temp, full tank of gas when it's nearly empty, low oil press. I checked the fuses, replaced one-nothing happened, I took the guage cluster out and put a diferent one on, same readings. I just dont understand, please some info.

Sounds like a short though I'm hesitant to use that word. Most of the small instruments use a common voltage regulator/stabalizer for the instruments... not to confuse the voltage regulator for the Alternator. Because the charging voltage varies as required there is a need to stabalize this for temp, oil, boost gauges. Tachs and electronic speedos have their own for the sake of accuracy. If you can locate the item then swap it with a known good unit or the one that came with the car. In some installations the regulator may be in one meter but feeds the other meters if it doesn't have a stand-alone component. Take a look at this circuit and see if you can determine why they are all showing max and I'm sure you will find you have wired something wrong or have a conditional ground that you should not have used.

Cheers,
GTM
