i need help with biulding a great turbo eclipse gst or gsx with one of this two turbos garrett t4 daul ball bearing gt40r or the gt42r i need to what to buy to hook up these turbos like what manifold to go with oil lines if i need a wastesgate cast elbow and what other this do i need to run this turbos. all i want to know is what items do i need to buy for this turbos. ex. like a turbo kit manifold, wastegate, bov, oil lines, do i need an ecu upgrade, oil cooler, injectors, fuel pump, fuel lines, or anything else. i am looking to hook this up to built head and block. the head is sbr stage 6 and the bolck is sbr stage 3 with a lightened and balanced crank but i dont know what pistons and rods and vavles and springs and retainers to go with this kit. also what clutch kit and light wieght flywheel do i go with and do they make a performance transmissions for this cars to handle the power or will the stock one work just fine.i am new to turbo eclipses so please help a newbee
 
The list of parts you'll need to run one of these turbos is going to be very extensive. Most people at this site, including myself, have never run a turbo this large and never will. A GT42R is capable of putting you deep into the 9's with 150+mph traps.

What other questions? Pretty much every part you asked about was listed in evil eagles profile aside from an oil cooler.

As for which turbo to go with, that is something you will need to research and decide for yourself. Black Hawk said you should start with a 16g and I would agree. I'm personally going to max out my 14b before I decide to step up to something bigger. Once I get a good handle on tuning and dialing everything in I'm going to look at a 6152sp.

Hi,

First you need to decide on what your goals are for the car, and exactly what you want to do with it. Those turbo might not meet your overall goals for the car you know. Check out the compressor maps and stuff if you havent yet.

Then buy some sort of datalogger.

Then you should check out one of these to get the general gist of the "proper" upgrade path.

For clutch and flywheel I like ACT

The transmissions are notoriously weak in DSM's so a strong transmission would be a wise decision. John shepherd is the most famous I think, but there are many others and talk to some local DSMer's since there might be local guys that are really good too. But be careful of local mechanics because DSM's take a special touch, haha.

Like was said before you should search these forums for what you want. There is a wealth of information and everyone has different opinions so then you can form your own you know.
