Garrett new GTW turbos

Anybody check out the new GTW turbos? The price looks great and they are using ceramic ball bearing center sections now. Those prices make me feel like it's 2007 all over again. I ended up buying a GT35r and having it upgraded with a GTX3582 wheel, I'm kind of having buyers remorse now.

Garrett doesn't seem to have a compressor map yet for the 3684...

Interested to see how these compare to the FP HTA's.

Bearing housing design is similar to the T3 and not the GT, much like FP's "Super" turbos....so you wouldn't be able to use any GT turbine housings on these.

Interesting market angle- they're directly-targeting PTE's turbos with the wheel sizes, only these units have a slightly-larger exducer than PTE's 82mm spec. Regardless, I'd buy from Garrett over PTE any day of the week...especially since these units feature the coolant ports on the bearing housing that PTE mistakenly eliminated which results in heat soak-back that ruins bearing cartridges and takes the strength out of sealing rings.

Based on the specs of the exhaust wheel, it looks like they just repurposed the old stage 5 wheel.
