I just bought a garrett gt30r turbo and I was wondering how much hp I can expect with that turbo?

92GSXBaltimore said:...............well, it depends on your supporting mods. With the right setup, over 700 hp. Do you know what you got yourself into? I hope those 550's are just your primary injectors
eclipseturbogst said:what do you mean " I hope you know what you got yourself into", and also I'm getting bigger injectors.
eclipseturbogst said:how do you read flow maps?
As for your comment this is the reason why im leaving all this to my builder, at alamo autopsports, no i dont know how to read flow maps and am not ashamed of this whatsoever, i have all fuel upgrades ready including rails, regulator, pump and injectors. I was just seeing as to what people might give me in response to this thread.ISUJakey said:You purchased a turbo with capabilities as high as the 3052 yet can not read a compressor flow map? I am not comfortable reading and understanding compressor flow maps which is one of the reasons why I will not be even thinking about purchasing a larger turbo until I am comfortable reading and understanding them.

Yes i unbderstand and have purchased the apexi Power FC for all my tuning anf yes i have purchased the 2.5 o2. thanks for your comment and ill let you know how the car does afterwards, and ive also got a quaife LSD.Ill post alot of pics when the settup is done and ive also got myself a huge 4inch aluminum pipe.shleppy said:To make the most of that turbo your going to need a minimum of 750cc injectors, which means you should invest in a quality tuning device like dsmlink so you can run them and adjust your timing too. Your pacesetter header will most likely not last long, and did you get fp's 2.5 o2 with the turbo? You'll need it. You also need a 4" intake pipe with the biggest airfilter you can fit in your engine bay. With these mods properly tuned the fp3052 has put down 500whp on 93 octane. With it's quick spooling capability you will have traction problems in 1st thru 3rd gear in your fwd. Good luck with it, thats the exact turbo that I want the most in the world.
Thanks for the non thought of comment, ive already explained the fact that my builder has recommended it for me, but i take it you just wanted to bash from the first post i made.dsmsucks said:How in the H-E double hockey sicks do someone buy something(turbo at that) and doesnt know nothing about it
