Gains from side exit exhaust?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had evidence or experience of what sort of gains would be attributed to fabricating a side exit exhaust versus a full length exhaust. I'm not worried about legalities or noise. I've been stuck for some time now running high boost and high timing (on e85) but still being underpowered for the setup. I'm just looking to see if anyone making 400+ wheel horsepower made the switch and what sort of changes happened. I.e. made the same power with 5 lbs less boost, created insane boost creep, made any noticeable power gains.

I haven't fully tuned mine yet but I dropped 36lbs on my side exit. I have a 2.5" that will creep from 10 to 22 psi in 3rd.
