cait sith said:They'll fit without rubbing. Might look a little silly if you have 0 camber though.
Darksyne said:18x8 30mm offset *SHOULD* technically fit on a 1G but your tires will be sticking out past your fenders by an inch or two. People running an 8 inch wide rim will try to keep the offset closer to 38-40 which will keep the tires in the wheel opening.

cait sith said:Hence why I said run some camber which will kick the wheels in slightly, making for a much more attractive "flush" look. Rolling the fenders will also yield improved clearance for wider tires.
Nothing looks more doofy than having sunken wheels.

NDgsx said:Depending on trailing arm clearance 1Gs typically have 5.75" of backspacing (for 16" wheels this clearance may be a little too tight and require slight grinding of the flange on the arm). Going over 2.37" front spacing and the front tires will stick out of the front fenders significantly.
Using that for 7" wheels your offset range is 30mm to 57mm. I'd stick around 40mm-45mm if possible.
For 7.5" wheels you have a range of 35mm to 50mm.
For 8" wheels that gives you a range of 40mm to 45mm. If you want to run 245s stay down near 40mm.

I can get them for $1000 canadian, mounted with Kumho 712 tires (including lug nuts)

cait sith said:Please don't get 712s. There are so many many many better tires out there than 712s.
mavisky said:712's have the friction equivalent of sanded wood, and oak at that. I'd go with a nice set of yokohama es100's
Hercules said:Uhhh, I disagree. I've found the 712's to be the stickest tires I have used at the drag track so far. Better than Dunlop D40's, Sumitomo HTR's, Goodyear Eagles, and Yokohama es100's. The Yokohama es100's while be a much better handling tire, lasted all of 10K miles and they were bald...they were the worst wearing tires I've seen. For the money, its tough to beat the 712's...
