I recently had someone decide to rear end my TSi doing about 40 while I was sitting still. Sadly, my rear end is now inside my trunk.

Being that the car still works, and all mechnical functions in it are still great, I want to get a shell. The local yard has a TSi, but it's FWD. If I were to get this FWD car, and tear it down until it's a complete shell, my AWD system off the current AWD TSi I have now will fit fine in it, correct?

No, not a conversion. Basically taking all my parts off the wrecked car, and putting it in a wrecked car that has an ok frame and body.

I have a 1G FWD and a 1G AWD,and I've looked at the underbody many times, and the rear suspension mounting points are COMPLETELY different. There are no similarities at all. Keep looking for an AWD shell, one will turn up sooner or later.
