Well, let see.. I just pushed my car about 2 miles.. so i figure maybe some of ya'll can help me..

I was driving to work.. everything was normal, no odd noises. I get to a stop sign and I put it in first. I slowly let off the clutch and move forward about 2 feet. Then "POP", the car is still in 1st gear, but the car doesnt move no matter what the rev is. I can run it through the gears, no grinding sounds, no leaking tranny fluid.. it just doesnt move no matter the rev, 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,reverse.. nothing.. clutch pressure stays the same, i cant feel it enguage in the usual manner. what could this be?

I did a search and found a bunch of AWD issues, but wasnt sure if they apply here...
I called a local shop and he told me my problem started off very unusual, but sounds like a diff issue. Any other possible senario?

well, I've just been told that it could be my spring straps.. because the diaghramph is hold together by the bolts to the flywheel, but it won't accept any engine load so I can run through the gears and the car won't stall.. opinions?

also wanted to add.. the speedometer does move like it's moving, but the car wont.

yeah, the more i look and think about it, even other friends opinions, it seems like thats the case.

Yeah it is.

I've got over 128k on my car and countless passes , and I'm just now getting ready to replace the drivers side axle for the first time.. Only thing wrong is a torn inner boot, but I have a set of brand-new OEM axles, so I'm going to just go ahead and swap em both.

It just tore a few days ago, so It's still a good "rebuilt back-up for a rainy day" candidate.

does anyone have a part number i can use when i go in to buy the axle(left and/or right side)? that would help some... the folks in the autoparts stores near me are not exactly the brightest and it's just easier giving them the part number.

thanks in advanced!

According to CAPS the front passenger axle assy pn is: MB297872 and the drivers side is MB297871. Keep in mind that it's just a general search for fwd d22. If you give me the VIN, I can get the exact number for you.
