Hey I recently bought a 93 Plymouth Laser Base Trim and the kid told me the transmission fluid had never been changed or added from the previous guy.

The car starts and runs awesome but it just wouldn't shift from neutral/park or move really on its own. Originally I planned on just using it for parts for the GSX but I kinda fell in love with the way it looked without the popup headlights and the thought of a daily DSM and a fun DSM was too tempting so I changed the fluid and filter and cleaned the pan. The result was a fluid darker than most my oil changes. Ihe car will shift into drive now but it won't shift from first AND the fluid is still really black.

I'm not sure if just draining the fluid again will help too much. is it even worth the effort/money or should I just take the parts I want and sell the rest? Thanks for the help!

You could take the valve body off and clean all of the valves and bores and put it back together. With fluid that dark, the valves could be sticky and or stuck.
