Damn. Im fixing a persons car who had his pressure plate crack and fly out of his bell housing, taking 3/4 of the housing with it.

Did you find the flywheel at all?

I think its stuck in the hood.

Holy shit. Any idea how old the FW was?

where did the majority of the schrapnal go? did any make it inside the car? that could have been deadly.

whoa, it cut your intake pipe in half?! holy crap, coulda killed someone!

I'am really interested seeing what something like that would have looked like with a carbon fiber hood.

that is so crazy! i guess thats why some tracks require scatter shields.

whew...looks really bad. a couple years ago i had an alignment dowel pin back out of my flywheel between a 3rd/4th run through the gears. before i could get it shut down and off the road that dowel pin bouncing around the bell housing pretty much destroyed everything inside. fortunatly the car was pretty much stock, so the shift point was around 5500 or so. but it was a sad day when that happened having to replace the front end of a tranny.

you were lucky if none of that came back into the cabin.
