On that thread it says you have to open the tranny and put in awd differential
Question is can you just put the intermiated shaft and axle without doing all that ?

No, the fwd axels and awd axels are a different diameter.

So it easier way is getting a awd tranny

You do realize you can't just bolt in an AWD tranny and go. You would still have to go inside and if you change trannies you change flywheels and backing plate also. Guess it depends on your definition of easy. I could put in a diff in an hour so for me that would be easier.

Yeah I never opened up a tranny befored .

2G fwd axles are plenty strong. You wouldn't want to downgrade going to the awd axle setup.
