Ok this might be stupid and it might have just been a dream but I thought someone at one time told me of a trans that had the option to switch from awd to fwd? I figured if it was true everyone would be talking/wanting one so I figured I'd ask anyways.
 
I had one about 12 years ago I switched into the fwd drove it around the block and it broke so really I think it would only be good for towing
 
I would definitely say to good to be true. The Jdm trams is in my opinion very weak they break really easy they are also 22 spline. I drove it 1/4 mile and it was toast I had put the car in the garage and wait for a replacement
 
Definitely. Also note that the 420a never went out of North America. Anything exported out of the US (the ONLY place they were built) was LHD and 4g63. So, if it was a non-turbo, it was an NA 4g63. Also, like 99% were FWD. So, his move with the EVO driveline gives him access to parts galore.
