I am going to stroke my 2g and I am still running 7 bolt and I dont wanna change it. But I still want to stroke my motor as much as reasonably possible whether it 2.3 or 2.4 or whatever. My question is exactly what am I going to need crank, rods, bearings so forth... I have also read that some people using a crank from another motor. And if that is the case what make model and year of that vehicle that has the crank that I could use. Also where I could get it. I did search but I could not find anything that match my certain situation. Please help!!!! I really would appreciate also if I coulld get the list of the parts and where I could get them. :D

start pricing up slicks along with that. are you sure you want more torque in a fwd?

I thought I read some where that it is a fairly complicated procedure, as well it required a diffrent bell housing for the transmission. I am uncertain on this though. Sounds like alot of work for .1 liter advantage over a 2.3 stroker. Again, uncertain about these things, but i would like to know more abbout the differences in these set ups as well.

Umm, do some research into a high-rev engine first. A stroked FWD is aimless.

Yeah, just swap a 4G64 Galant block and be done with it. If you're hell-bent and determined to stroke your 63, you're gonna need at least 7 bolt 4G64 crank and stroker pistons (wrist pin moved 6mm higher to accomodate deck height), new main/rod bearings, and preferrably new rods. You're gonna spend a heap on machine work and parts if you go this route. A 64 can be had much cheaper from a local junkyard or whatnot.

Nope, the 64 and the 63 are the same block, minus bore size and deck height. Tranny will bolt right up.

let me get this straight. Pull out motor, remove head, put head on 4g64, put motor back in car? What is the compression? Is that really all there is to it? No chaneling coolent orphisis or sum shit?

no no no, there's more to it than that. You're gonna need cam gears from a '94 galant DOHC (63 cams are 1 tooth off), a '94 galant timing belt, head gasket, and a few other odds & ends. I'm sure you can search it and find a complete list.

This is on my list of things to do too, btw.
