Which fuse controls the dash lights? Or is it under the dash somewhere? None of the lights on the dash or the a/c controls work. Swapped gauge clusters and turned up the dimmer to make sure that wasn't it. Guessing a fuse is bad or something else but fuse is what I wanted to start with. Help? Thanks.

P.S. This is for a 98.

th fuse should be in the underdash fuse block. id like to note that i had the same problem on my first eclipse. while driving down the interstate, all the gauge lights turned off. turned out that a ground wire behind the cluster had wiggled loose. put a new one in and the whole interior lit back up again.

Most OEM's wire the dash lights to the brake light or tail light fuse . Its a wasy of alerting you that one of those are not functioning. ( you can also just test every fuse , its not that big of a deal )

Okay, which fuse is that though?

My brake lights work and all the fuses are good. So wondering what else it could be to keep the lights from working.

May have to test it, and maybe see if there's a way to bypass it for now. Not like I ever dim the lights anyway.

Gauge cluster and dimmer was bad. Got it working. Thanks. Used a paperclip as a jumper for the dimmer and the hvac lights worked. Changed clusters cause those lights were still not working. Solved the problem and changed out the fuses to the proper size since the previous owner was an idiot. Appreciate the help.

Don't have an owners manual and the fuse cover is gone. But I looked in the thread that I posted above that has the fuse locations and none of them say "dash lights". It's okay though, cause I solved the problem. Thanks for trying I guess.

I spliced the black with yellow stripe wire and the black wire together....for the 2g. Forget what it is for 1g.

thanks dude..
i traced all my wires back and found a short.. after fixing that i found a bad switch.. i made a home made jumper and connected the b/y to the b and the lights are good as new
