OK me and my girlfriend are goin out to dinner and were taking her car and on they way i told her that i thought her clutch might be near the end of its day and she says to me, "we'll how do you check it?" i said well you cant really just check it without some major work. She says
" Oh i thought it was like brakes or something" Right then i just looked at her and laughed. Had to post it. Any similar stories?

DSM's are great but I like riding in my girlfriend's car sometimes. It's weird, no jerkiness, no harsh ride, real quiet. I always find it odd whenever I ride in someone else's car and don't hear a BOV when they shift though.

Ha, I commute to college and I love using the turbo timer. People always come up and say, excuse me, you left your car on. I always mess with them, because my magnaflow exhaust is annoyingly loud how could I forget to turn it off. So I'm like, 'Oh my god! really, thank you so much, I totally forgot." Then I pull my keys out and go, "Wait a minute, how is it..." But besides that, my X asked me what the noises were coming from my engine bay, and I told her I had a bad muffler bearing. She caught onto me when I told her my fog light was out because it was low on fluid.

my girl absolutely hates cars. talking about them, modding them, anything. She wont get her license until she feels like she absolutely needs it. Ok, so we're out one night and she asks about the recirculating feature on the climate control. So i go about telling her and like a sentence into it, she goes, "dont tell me anymore i'm bored already." Its like she asks a question and i try to tell her but i guess her hatred is that much. women these days.

mine said she liked the turbo on one an engine bay that we were looking at. Im like what? She points at the air filter and says "it's pretty"

Then after watching that discovery channel racer thing she was trying to explain what a drivetrain was cuz i missed the diagram or something. "its got a stick thinggy with springs on the end" then i aske "was it the axel". So after a minute or so of aguiring i had to walk outside and show her my axel. she hasn't tried to talk about cars since.

People just ask about my BOV and turbo timer. Another one that's my favorite is people coming up to me and saying: "I saw you yesterday" Well I honestly tell them it wasn't me. They just see any white Eclipse and think it's me.
The chicks at school come up to me and ask me why I scrape on the ground. I usually get confused and say that I just spent a bunch of money on a new suspension so my car doesn't scrape. They say I did, and I get confused, and finally realize it's my BOV they were talking about.
Oh oh here's another good one regarding the BOV. My girl friend was driving next to me and my BOV went off. The next day she comes up to me and asked me if I had NOS. I said no, and she went on: "well what was that Pssssh sound?"

Thats pretty funny. Most women arent mecanically inclined and I think its kinda cute that they dont know any better. I've had to tell my wife about 5 times now that her car is a inline four cylinder. Its funny to me because she always askes me that when I race a v8 or 6 and pull on them. BTW did you ever school that blonde co-worker or what?

these are so funny. greatfully my wife when she was growing up was given old used cars and she learned how to work on them. her 1st was a ford bronco ll, then a nightmarish 65 mustang.. this one she got most of her hands on knowledge from. a/c, belts, plugs, power stearing, breaks, water pumps, she has some knowledge of and hands on experience with.

My wife drools over chevelles and old camaros. V8s. Rumble rumble sounds, . Cars with those whatchamecallit "carberator" things. She can tell the year with just a glance at tailights, rear bumper, whatever. It's scary. Yeah, great job on making it look like a Talon convertible. Your custom sub enclose kicks much booty too! I want an enclosure similar to yours so I can boot the box.
