[Edit] Looks like he solved the issue, the vent line was kinked.
I did a search and couldn't find this topic, so I decided to post, maybe someone who has done the swap can help.
I recently had someone do the AWD conversion to my spyder. Everything is complete, and it drives just fine. However, there is one problem, when we try to fill up the gas tank at the station, the pump will click, and if we continue to try to fill the tank, a bunch of gas will just shoot out of the filler onto the ground
Seems like the pressure isn't being released - I'm thinking the vent system isn't setup correctly? Any ideas on what this could be? Someone told me that we need to swap the FWD filler neck with a AWD filler neck cause it has backflow prevention built in. But none of these writeups on the net specify the filler neck as a part that needs to be replaced, so I am assuming there has got to be a way to get the FWD fillerneck to work. Is there a special way to setup the hoses/fillerneck?
Thanks!
