hi

i'm getting a horrible mileage, like 13-14 mpg. my oxygen sensor is ok, it oscillates at idle and steady at wot. my fuel trims are

low 81.2%
medium 100.7%
high 103.1%

the question is:
should i remove lower honeycomb from MAF to get better gas mileage by leaning the mixture at idle?

thanks :)

It probably won't help your situation much, the ECU will compensate it out for the most part.

You have a problem with gas mileage elsewhere.

Other things that can cause crap gas mileage:

1) Misaligned / Underinflated Tires. Get an alignment if you haven't in a long time, make sure your tires are up to pressure.

2) Gas leak somewhere. Tanks have been known to develop leaks around the seams occasionally, lines and connections can leak too.

I dont think that improperly inflated tires would cause you to be rich. I woudl take out ur lower honeycomb anyways and see wat happens though.
