Okay i plan on making the switch to e85 i already have 2150's, EcmLink, And a double pumper with dual 225's..

My question is kinda a hard one but i will do my best to explain it

I plan on converting the entire fuel system to 6an- both sending a return too

My question is whats the difference between these?

STM | 90-99 DSM FUEL TANK TO RAIL KIT

STM: -6AN FUEL FEED LINE KIT (FILTER TO RAIL) | 90-99 DSM

would i need those to upgrade my fuel system, I already have a Aftermarket Fpr, i guess my question is if i just get the line & the AN fittings could i make my own versions of these?

Ive searched more than one forum, I'm not planning on spending all that cash on stuff that i dont need... thanks for the help in advance

With that much pump (I assume you mean dual 255's), you might as well run -8AN lines if you are going for max flow...although that is a LOT of fuel. Just buy the line and fittings and make your own; it will probably be much cheaper.

What kind of power are you targeting to need that much fuel?

yeah dual 225's

650-700ish

I planned on buying the hose and the fittings and saving myself a lot of cash.

Just wanted to verify that all i need basically is the hose and the correct fittings

If you plan on running that much power I would definitely look into running -8AN line. You can even get fuel rails that have the -8AN ports on them.

These fuel rails hav an 8AN inlet and a 6AN outlet. Probably smarter to use these because you wont have as much fuel going back to the tank. The last one says its definitely e85 compatible.

You'll also need a fuel filter with 8AN ports on it. You don't wanna reduce to 6AN just for the filter because that is usually the most restrictive part anyway.

You also wanna make sure everything you run (Fuel Rail, Lines, fittings) are all e85 compatible. Calling the manufacturer will be the best way to do this. Also look into fuel rails with nitrous port options incase you ever decide to go that route. Most you'll be ablt to plug shut if you decide not to use nitrous.

Thanks i will look into that...

I will never use the spray, but thanks for the tip

In reference to your fuel set up,i was told by a gentleman who owns a 700+hp DSM that the ideal fuel setup would contain equal size feed and return lines. His reason being that on the back end yes there is less fuel returning to the tank, but you would be bottle necking the system with a smaller return hose.I personally am running -10an feed and -10an return lines utilizing an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and Aeromotive AFPR.Let it flow !

So would you say that i should be good with 6an- all around?

My car will see a little track time every now and again but for the most part its a weekend car

It's also recommended to use a steel vs paper filter for e85.

Keep us posted! I'm looking to do something similar.

I will...

Yeah they only charge 450 for a e85 tune with dyno time included..

for a dual map for 93 its only 150 more... good stuff imo

Plus they have the new stock block record so u cant really beat that

Thats not bad for a tune at ostar, out here in cali theres shops charging over a thousand dollars for a full tune, -6an all around would be sufficient,to be completely safe and in case you decide to go all out later you can use -8an.our blue shop car dynoed 592 swhp on a stock fuel rail and stock fuel lines using c16 race gas :)

I just did that this weekend on my car. you can try to piece together but its actually cheaper to buy that kit unless you wanna run a different fuel filter. just three straight -6an and one 45 plus the rail adapter. oh and if your wanting to run e85, you'll need to buy the 45$ stainless steel 40 micron element too. nice way to spend 260 bucks

OMG

Holy crap. I'm in the wrong damn business.

Yeah i saw how much that e85 filter is.... 260 isnt that bad when you look at the total price of the stuff in my car
