Here's the scenario . . .

I'm puttin "new" (it's actually old equipment i pulled from my last car) stereo equipment in the car and I know i'll be pulling the carpet up and whatnot to run the power wire to the amp from the battery.

My question is, is it safe to rewire the fuel pump using a lead coming from a distribution block?

I would normally just go from the battery to the amplifier with a fuse in between of course. FYI the amp is 150rms, and i'm using 8gauge wire which is waaaay more than plenty for 150rms.

Esentially the proposed setup would have a lead coming from the battery, then a fuse, then a dist block, one lead to the amp, and the other lead to the fuel pump.

How's that sound?

Yes that will be ok to do, as long as you have a fuse between the pump and the block..
