2G Fuel pump relay clicks, fuel pump works, no fuel delivery?

I've checked the relay (By jumping it) and it clicks like the relay should, also the fuel pump fires if I turn the key to ON and jump the harness for the relay, so the pump isn't the issue. But with the relay connected it doesn't click or fire the pump at all. I'm new to DSM's and what/what isn't fused. Is there a fuse further up the line that could be causing power to not reach the relay?

A friend just had this exact isssue on his 2000 Toyota Celica, turned out to be a grounding issue on the cylinder head. All his fuses were good. Maybe clean/redo a couple grounds in the engine bay. That's all he did and the car fired right up and idled perfectly after.

Either that or its a bad relay. Hope this helps.

You didn't say what year/model you have which makes a difference. All 1g's and 2g turbos requires the engine to be turning (producing CAS pulses to the ECU) before the ECU will turn the fuel pump relay on.

So it must be running or cranking - just turning key to On doesn't do it. I think Mitsubishi thought it was a safety feature to not have the fuel pump running when engines not running in case of a crash.

The 2g NT however (which is Chrysler) turns fuel pump on whenever key is in On or Start positions regardless on whether engine is running.

Yes check ALL wiring! Could be anything wire related.

Check the powers and grounds at the relay.if its a ground thats controlled by the computer which means you have a weak power or ground at the computer or your crank sensor is not good and at last the computer is garbage.

How did you come to the no fuel? Did you pull the line of the rail and crank it?
