Alright! So I'll be starting the swap soon, and will be running an AWD chassis as fwd for the time being.

I took the AWD TSi shell home and noticed that the fuel pump/sender assembly is missing :ohdamn:... I have one off of my GS-T, but I believe it's different... is there any way I can use the FWD fuel pump/sender assembly with the AWD chassis?

You need the assembly, as the two are very different. You can use a fwd pump in a awd assembly and the other way, but not the Assemblies (i.e. the hanger that holds the pump itself).

the awd assembly hangs from the top and the fwd mount from the side of the tank.

Sean is right they are very different but they both hang from the top.
FWD the assembly is bolted down and there is only one sender.
AWD there are two senders one with the fuel pump and an auxiliary on the other side. The assembly is held in place with a twist on plastic ring- no bolts. The fuel pump itself may work but there is no easy way to drop the complete assembly from fwd into an awd.
Look in some of the AWD conversion threads for the exact differences.

I'm bringng this thread back because I want to know if I buy a stock 1g AWD fp will I be able to use it in my fwd car without any big hassle upon install -or- should I just wait until I can find a fwd pump??
