fuel pressure-up solenoid problem

where does the third vaccum line go? i know where the two side by side go but where does the one that hooks into the back of it go? i found the line just hanging there and no apparent place it plugs in at help.....

Hard to tell from your description but I'm guessing it connects to a post-tb boost source.

i really dont know what is causing the fuel cut at 4000rpm. i think it might have something to do with that fuel pressue reg. or the solenoid what do u think?

If you don't have the fpr connected then you will run really lean (car will sputter and lose power) as your boost goes up and boosting is almost definitely required to get above 4000rpm. Is your fpr solenoid connected up to the fpr on the perpendicular port and to the manifold on the underside port?

Do you understand what these two parts do and how they work?

i fixed it it was a massive boost leak caused by a dri-rotted charge pipe coupler

Just so you know, the FPR solenoid only has two vacuum lines connected to it. That third port you were talking about under the connector is suppose to have a plastic oval shaped cap on it.

Correct, and it's the atmospheric pressure port.

The FPS switches the fuel pressure regulator reference port between the intake manifold pressure and atmospheric pressure during warm starts to raise the fuel pressure.
