I am going to be needing one shortly, but do not want to spend $270 on one. Is there a cheaper one made that will work just as efficently w/o making me broke?

I heard something about the Megan Racing regulator not raising boost on a 1:1 ratio. Any info on this? Can you confirm or deny?GVR4592 said:I used the Megan Racing regulator with some miscelaneous fittings from the parts store and it worked fine. Cost was under $140 if I remember correctly.
I'm not trying to split hairs, but I believe that combo comes with the regular 255 pump. It's the same one I have, and I'm pretty sure I don't have an HP.DGajre777 said:http://www.importevolution.com/product_info.php?cPath=91&products_id=2373 The combo above comes with a 255 HP pump instead of the regular 255 pump. The only difference is that will push more fuel at high psi.
If you click on the pump link in the link above, this is what it says - Walbro High Pressure In-tank 255lph Fuel Pump. I was just going by their site.donmagicjuan said:I'm not trying to split hairs, but I believe that combo comes with the regular 255 pump. your talking about the Megan one right?brute said:I bought this kit a couple months ago. It was a pretty straight forward install. Everything you need (and more) comes with the kit. All you need to do before you put it in is
1. Take out the spring that comes in the FPR, and put in the higher pressure one they provide in the kit
2. Buy some different Teflon tape. The kind that's included (blue/white) dissolves in gasoline. Go to your local Home Depot, Builder's Square, Ace, whatever and buy some yellow/black kind. This kind is resistant to gasoline.
Other than that, you should have it installed in no time. This is really a great kit that is put together well and is priced right. Good luck!

So are all FPR's set to 1:1 or is that something that you can change? If the gauge displays psi, how do you keep track if it's a 1:1 ?
Also, Does the Megan come with a fitting that plugs into the fuel rail?
