Fuel pressure regulator needed with dsmlink ?

I was talking with friends today that will be going dsmlink soon and they said that with link it isn't necessary to have a for as link can now take care of that etc. Is this true ? Any enlightenment and 2 cents will be appreciated.

link has nothing to do with the fuel pressure regulator
If you have a 190lph fuel pump you dont need a AFPR if you have a 255lph or bigger you will though because the stock regulator can't flow enough fuel to keep the pressure down to where it should be

if your goals are under 400hp and you dont want to spend $200 on a AFPR then just go with a 190lph pump. If you have the extra cash though and like bling under the hood the SS line looks pretty sweet IMO

Sounds like your friend just means that you can scale your injectors with the ECM instead of having to do it old school with fuel pressure.

That's exactly what they were referring to, but then again it does make sense what nickk90 said, so regardless I will need it if I get a 255.

if you have the money for the afpr i say get the 255lph and you will never have to worry about running out of pump
