fuel pressure gauge sending unit...where to put it

Was wondering where the best place to put my fuel pressure gauge sensor would be.....it for a 99....I know 95-96 had fuel pressure regulator on the rail....could I swap out for a 95-96 rail and put it there?

Just put it between the firewall and the fuel rail under the throttle body so you can see it. There's a few spots to bolt it on. But why do you want a fpr on a n/t?

Take the cap off of the passenger side of the rail and remove the valve (its a schrader valve, same thing that is used on valve stems for you tire). Then install a fitting like so, http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/cei-107133/overview/.

I want too run nitros eventually...I want to be able to monitor as much as possible....and not burn my motor up...atleast thats my goal. Ill take a look at the shradder valve

Are you running an aftermarket FPR? If so most of them have a port on the front or side of them for a gauge. Otherwise do whats already been mentioned.

Nope....no aftermarket fpr.....not until I either boost it or run nitros....

You can get a small adapter banjo fitting that replaces the banjo bolt for the fuel filter and allows you to tap your sending unit in. That's how I have mine ran for my auto meter gauge.
