Fuel Line Damaged at Filter

Hi.

I was replacing my fuel filter today when i twisted the metal line that comes off the bottom of the filter. I cut the line smoothly and attempted to re-add the flare.. but it came out again.. Should I just try to just re-flare it again, or do i have a better option? Can I use a rubber hose to extend it like 6 inches, then use another metal tube, flare it, and attach it that way?

Second Question... How would I replace that fuel line completely? would I have to drop the suspension?

I destroyed my clutch fluid line awhile back. I fixed it once by double flaring it. It leaked. Tried again very carefully, and it has worked well for the past 9 months,

double flange? as in... flange it once, then move downa bit and make the flange larger?

You can get a double flaring tool from any auto parts store. I got autozone's loaner tool for free when I did minel. Just follow the directions that come with it very carefully and you should be fine.
