So i 6 bolt swapped my 95 talon AWD and i eliminated the charcoal canister and all that emissions BS. For some reason the fuel system is not pulling fuel out of the drivers side tank. I know this because i pulled the sending unit off of both sides of the tank and the fuel pump side is almost empty while the other side is totally full. I know it is a siphon system but i have no idea what is wrong. I put a breather on the line that runs from the tank to the charcoal canister. I am wondering if this line might be causing my fuel system to not work properly. It also seems that i am building a decent amount of tank pressure. whenever i take the fuel cap off it blows off pressure more than i have seen with any other car.

Any ideas or pointers would be greatly appreciated!!!

95 talons have a tsb on the tank. go to a dealership with your VIN number and they'll look up the recalls. your gonna have a 50/50 chance if a previous owner did the recall. you might get lucky. i had the same problem and found out about a gastank recall when doin some research, said F@#* it and scored a brand new tank installed for free at mitsubishi in pasco wa about 20min from where i lived at the time. if thats not a option, double check the fuel vent lines are functioning and not pintched or cloged

ok yeah i saw the TSB on alldata. Not too sure where all the vent limes are but il try it. You think that vent line that went to the charcoal canister may have something to do with it?

no not at all, im on my third 2nd gen and all of em i ditched the entire emmisions system. never had that problem. the charcol canister can be removed and not even capped off. that and the hook up line on it is a lil tiny piss tube. the one time i had that problem like you it was my 95talon and thats when i got a new tank for free...
