I picked up a AEM fuel rail then saw that FIC makes one thats cheaper, and comes 6an without the strange mounting design AEM uses. Has anyone used the FIC rail? Is it quality, doesnt leak machined well etc..

any comments would be great because id gladly sell this one and get the FIC one.

I carry FIC rails and have one on my car. Absolutely LOVE IT. Looks amazing and the adapter fittings worked perfect for my set up. Option to run -8/-6 or -6/-6 an line. Fitment is great as well.

thanks, I was worried about fitment because the one other thread I saw concerning FIC rails complained about fitment....but 9/10 threads are complaints and not compliments LOL

Aftermarket rails are amazing when you run SS lines. I ran a stock rail with fittings and it was a pita.

I figure the stock rail with 6'an fittings is going to cost me $40 for the adapters anyways, why not just run with the $120 rail. $80 more for the option of running higher horse if I decide to and the resale value of the rail

Not sure if it still is but at one time the AEM rails was not an upgrade from the stocker, it was either the same size internally, or actually slightly smaller.

If you want a new rail for ease of use with AN fittings, thats one thing or maybe you just want the bling factor, but as far as performance, the stock rail is fine for 95%+ of DSM owners.

The AEM rails are a joke IMO, if you want a good rail, go with an FIC or Magnus, I think Aeromotive may have one as well.

Personally I've never seen a use for an aftermarket rail other than for looks. I had -10's welded on with no problem.

i put my fic rail on yesterday and i have to say...top notch quality and fitment and super fast shipping:hellyeah:

thats funny. I'm thinking about swapping back for a stocker. I'm not too pleased with fitment. My injectors look somewhat sideways. I have a FIC rail and FIC 1050s. I was pretty sure I didn't need it but it came as a package deal for a marginal increase (less than it would have cost for new rail adapters (2).

Anyway It hisses while the engine runs, although I see no fuel spraying out, I have this suspicion it is. I started rotating injectors in thier seats and the hissing got louder or quieter with position.

Maybe its because I got a rail from a 2g? I assumed they are all the same? no?

I do admit its sharp, but I was expecting an upgrade... not something that looks like a hack. I wish it was more flawless, like the factory part.

According to this I shouldnt be having such a problem. I know its not backwards ... thats impossible.
