Its like an another whole level of rice. I can't immagine that this has zero negative effects on engines.

Agreed. Insane rice. Plus you're adding impurities to your fuel. Meaning more likelihood of knock... if someone is putting that **** in a 'top fuel dragster', I want to go up and slap the living hell out of them.

LOL thats weird it be kinda funny to try to see if it actually worked but i woudlnt put it in a car i actually cared about.

One thing about engines.NEVER PUT ADDITIVES IN THERE UNLESS ITS YOUR LAST RESORT. God knows what it does to your gas tank, engine, or engine internals no matter what they say. And its just plain cheesy. :notgood:

It doesn't work with regular gasoline. It only works with alcohol and nitro-methane. I use it in my racecar along with everyone else to keep the burning sensation down so you can walk around in the pits. It's manditory. We tried it in my little brother's racecar and it doesn't react with gasoline. Doesn't seem to affect performance either but with 700hp like I'm going to notice if I lose 10.

I think they do make some that works with gasoline. I have smelt some coming from a gas powered car before at the track. It comes in handy when you have a setup with a fuel cell and your regular gas tank, that way you can put it in your fuel cell so that you can smell when that gas starts burning you can smell it. I plan to run some in my car with the dual tank setup.

It was originally designe to run in nitromethane and methonol applications. It is not harful to the fuel system or power. Infact, its just a scented lubricant to help keep the above mentioned fuels from causing corrosion in the cylinders and crankcase. It also reduces the eye burn factor in those fuels. I imagine that you would have to use quite a bit of it in a petrolium based fuel to get the scented affect and then it may be detrimental to performance. And as far as the rice comment, it has been around longer than rice and if you were too, you would know the reason to use it.

I used some cinamin in my chevelle when I ran race gas. So I took a chic for a ride in my car and did something girly to coverup the race gas. Don't laugh at me too much.

WTF really....... "In 1992, Manhattan Oil introduced Fuel Fragrances to be used in gasoline, methanol, and diesel fuels. One four ounce bottle treats 10-20 gallons of gasoline.... "

Excellent post. This is the only person in the thread that actually knows what they are talking about.

Fuel fragrance is an excellent product, when used properly. I stock and sell the Manhattan Oil product that is in the link. And I've personally used the cherry fragrance in my DSM. It is harmless when used with gasoline. It is primarily used at the race track as a croud pleaser. Guys with alcohol engines use it to extend engine life by helping to eliminate cylinder wear. It also protects and lubricates your fuel system.

I used it to help locate a small fuel leak. A fuel leak tainted with the strong smell of cherry seems to stand out a little more than just fuel alone.

And I dont understand why it's so expensive on that site - I sell it for anywhere between $6-$8 per bottle and we offer great discounts on full cases (12 bottles). So, it's not as expensive and it looks.

Nevertheless, this product is used in the race world not the rice world.

Am I am glad someone else knows what it is. I was beginning to think that I was the only one. :thumb:
