Fuel filter!?

on the passenger side about 8 inches or so in front of the rear tire. When replaceing it make sure to take the keys out of the ignition and pop the gas cap to relieve some pressure. Hope this helps.

I thought the fuel filter in mounted on the firewall.
Te black canister shaped one, in the left side of the engine bay?
Is there another one by the gas tank?

You are correct, but only with those of use with a 95. the rest of the generation is located under the car next to the rear passenger tire. Right where the fuel pump line comes down and turns.

Some early 96's have the fuel system with the filter on the firewall, too. It's all based on the manufacture date. My 98 GS was made in late 97 and has a 97 ECU. And the 96 Esi that my GS engine came out of, was made in late 95 and it had the early style fuel system.

Wow I did not know that!
I guess you can always learn something new!!
So is that a 95 thing or only a early 95 thing?

As far as I know it's just a 95 thing but as said above me, apparently some 96's have it as well.

This is one of the reasons I don't like having a 95 LOL. To many subtle changes in the rest of the generation makes it hard getting diagrams for the 95's. especially with wiring :p
