car was running fine and boosting hard. I pulled the transmission to replace the clutch and flywheel, since putting it back together i noticed that around 4k it feels like fuel cut but after the bucking from that it pulls up to about 4.5k and continues that. if this matters at all i am running a walbro 255 on stock injectors and fpr, plus it has not been rewired, but i'm at at loss to why this just starting after clutch? any suggestions?

Well.. there are several things here. I'll focus more on the fuel system since I'm not too sharp on M/T since I've only owned A/T

Unwired 255 fuel pump on stock fpr. Doesn't sound too good to me.

I personally have an un-rewired 255 and I noticed that it doesn't flow very well past 4.5k rpms, but I'm rarely that high anyway. Also having the stock FPR might be part of the issue. Whenever going over the 190LPH pump, you should get an AFPR.

As to how it could be related to the clutch, could it be improper adjustment or slipping? I'm really going on a stretch here, but just to throw some ideas.

Fuel cut results as a safety precaution Mitsubishi was oh so nice to give us. The computer will cut fuel if it thinks that the fuel system can't keep up with how much air is flowing. Can't see your profile because apparently there is a file missing  ,I was going to see what kind of turbo you are running and if you increased the pressure.

Its a 20g on stock boost solenoid. But I did a boosr leak test and figured out I have a small hole in the interooler, the bov gasket is leaking and the throttle body gaskets. All of which combined could add up to this problem. I havegaskets on order and ordering a new core when I get paid, hopefully fixes my problems. Still curious as to why it just started cutting? but like you said, its a car, I guess I will never know.

And I will probably order and afpr and rewire the fuel pump next weekend.
