Front wheels wont spin!

Hi im new to the forum, i bought a 1992 gsx about 2 weeks ago and on the drive home i had my transmission seize on me So when i got it towed to my friends house i noticed that my front wheels wouldent spin but my rear wheels could. The car will go in all the gears and want to move forward but wont. i think it is the differential in the trans. what do you all think?

Could be lots of things. How did you tow it?

I had it towed on a flatbed truck.

Well i started to take apart my trans... i found little pieces of metal all inside of the side housing. after finding that i just stopped working on it

While it's most likely to be the front diff, I'd finish taking it apart to make sure. With that said, I know the feeling; I have walked away from a car for up to three weeks when finding serious damage.

Quick update. pretty much nothing has been done due to me losing my job. :/ BUT! i just aquired a job a my local ford dealership as a tech. so now im saving for a new trans and some other goodies.
