Quick question would a front Case Seal leak at all times or only when engine is running got a leak somewhere in lower timing cover area and already replaced crank seal and oil pan gasket. Only leaks when car is running any ideas would be helpful. Front Case? Oil pump seal? anything else this could be?WTF

have the same problem... cant seem to figure out what it is...!!!

Drivng me nuts just ripped whole car apart changed oil pan gasket, crank seal neglected the oil pump seal but knowing my luck thats what it is just hoping it aint the front case.

Think we better bite the bullet and buy a new front seal? found em online for about 140 or if your lucky to find one in a junkyard but good luck finding anything off a 4g63 powered car, expect nothing but a shell believe me ive tried

I had a horrible leak that only appeared when the car was running due to the presence of oil pressure... turns out it was my oil filter housing.. caused oil to go all over the timing components and the front case as well...

was it the actual housing.. or the gasket...

Thsi is a really stupid fix but here it goes. After taking everything back off (belts, pulleys, etc. the leak was coming from a missing bolt out of the timing cover right above the crank. Missed it because there was no bolt there when i went to take it off. Dont i feel dumb:hmm:

Which bolt holes are open to the oil galleys? I know at least one of the tensioner bolt holes is...
