front and back prothane

Im installing prothane inserts on my 99 gst spyder and I noticed the front and back mounts are 2 piece mounts which i'm guessing go over the top of the stock mount. Do I need to press these mounts in with a vice. the front one doesn't stay in very tight if I just hammer it in.

If they are inserts then you should not need a press to get them in.. if you still are having trouble try using a little block of wood and a C-clamp. But when they are installed there will be no way for them to come out.

The front and rear are just inserts. They just sit over your stock motor mounts so you don't remove the stock mounts like you do with the left and right prothane motor mounts. They work with your stock motor mounts. They don't really stay in until the motor mount brackets go around them but once they're in they are stiffer then stock.

It's a little difficult to try and explain online but hopefully that answers your question. If you need any more help just let us know.
