1G Fried ECU?

ok so my buddy finally got his 1g turbo talon back together and we went to fire it, and it let us down... turned over but no spark... so we refered to the hayne manual (crap) and proceded to use a jumper wire to run the diagnosits.... the engine lights supposed to come on and then flash an engine code... but we never got the light to come on??? we know the light has never been taking out so does this mean the computers toast??? this proiject has be a year long and if anyone could help us out it would be great... thanks

If it has been sitting for a year, it is a good possibility that the caps leaked and damaged the circuit board. Pull the ecu and inspect it for damage.

ok well that makes sense, so does anyone have any suggestions as to where we could find a 1g computer, because the junk yards around here are pretty much hit up for all the parts out of any type of DSM... they are rare around here...

Just pull it and check in for damage. If it needs repair, just contact steve or visit his site.
