When I stopped my car after a short ride, smoke was coming from under the hood. So I popped the hood and the cruise control cable was RED HOTT!!! So it lit the rubber piece on fire and I held the red hott wire up with a screw driver. It turns out, the battery slid forward and the positive battery wire was touching the cruise control module... No holes in my couplers but hope I didn't fry anything...
