I was watching some pictures of DSM engines on diferent cars and i notice that many of the High powered DSM change the position of the Fuel Presure Regulator. I mean:
OEM is inlet on passenger side and outlet with FPR on driverside.
And the other way is Inlet on the driverside and outlet with FPR on the pasenger side.

Is there any benefit instaling it this way than the normal one?
Is it beacuse the #1 cylinder is the leaner oneand you want more fuel pressure on it?

They make two different ones. One is bolted straight on the rail and the other on the firewall. They both do the same but the ones on the firewall usually have more ports for nitrous/meth and such.

I don't know why most people do it, but I think it's easier and cleaner to run the feed to the drivers side of the car with a -10 or -12 line.

When you mean "They make two different ones

There are two different types of regulators. Bolt-on regulators that bolt to the fuel rail, and universal regulators that require custom plumbing.
