Is a fuel pressure regulator needed with a walbro 255 lph fuel pump? I want the bigger fuel pump incase i ever want to get a bigger turbo. What do you guys think?

Yes, you need an AFPR with a 255 - so they all say. The fuel pump overruns the small restrictive stock fpr causing a rich condition.

I have a rewired walbro 255 in my car with the stock fpr and no tuning issues though...

The guy who does alot of the work on my car said he has put on alot of them and has had no problem with the stock fpr. I wanted to know if anyone was having problems without one.

Yes you will need one. The stock FPR will be over run and you will have some tunningssues. I would get it anyway just to have a good reliable setup. Then you never have to worry about and tunning issues.

Maybe you should get a 190lph pump. I hear there is no need for an upgraded FPR. Of course depending on your needs you may eventually NEED a 255.
