That is the worst thing I have ever heard! All this will do is basically a global fuel correction for injetcor size. The be a sustitute for the link it would be
chip 125
safc 280
logger 175
plus more.......
That right there is more money than the link, with less performance. if you consider global injector correction a valid sustitution you need to do more research.

As far as the 2544, I know some people that also had first access to this turbo as well. It does spool nicely but even forced performance is not fond of this turbo. I has a high exhasut to intake pressure ratio which hurts power.

Most people who are at the point where they are considering DSMLink have a logger already so cut $175 off... I got a great deal on an SAFC2 for 250 bux back in September.... All that vs..

$645 for DSMLink V2 w/ socketing
$250+ for a decent notebook... Explain how it's cheaper

Well, you need a plam of some sort to view the logger. Palms can be used to control dsmlink. If you didn't have a logger, you can buy a refurbished palm 3c for like 100 bux. You also have no means to control timing and that would cost about 250-300. If you already have a logger you can sell it as OBD2 loggers won't let you read knock, just timing advance. I can set my tuning up to get lots of knock and still get like 17 deg advance. A very unsafe tune that would look perfectly safe to a logger.

On a budget, why not. That doesn't mean it is a viable option to dsm link. If you are looking at a 1200 turbo, I doubt money is that tight.

And this guy is already planning for DSMLink. IMHO, the keydiver is a waste of time and money to buy a halfway solution in this situation. DSMLink is much more than an S-AFC + keydiver + pocketlogger, especially since he can't log at a high data rate or log knock without DSMLink. If he's planning on getting a $1200+ turbo, it's worth it to build the right foundation.
