So I got a parts car and turns out it had some decent audio stuff in it. I've never been an audio guy, but it's not all completely foreign to me, I just don't know much. I was thinking about putting it all in my car, but need some advice... The Infinity speakers look like components, but I didn't find a crossover in the car.. They did have some sort of Rockford splitter type thing hooked up to them as you can see from the pic. Anyone know what those are? What should I do with them, or what should I purchase to be able to use them properly instead of just hooking them up? Any input would be greatly appreciated! :) I have a stock audio system other than my head unit, which is pretty dang old LOL.

Well, you have OEM tweeters, and only the midbass driver for the Infinity perfect 6.1's (1997 model) which are decent and the Rockford Fosgate rear speakers(1996/1997 model) which are just ok. The Rockford Fosgate item wired on the Infinity mid-range woofer is a low-pass filter.

The Infinity Perfects can handle 200W RMS and 400W peak, the factory tweeters can't handle much more than like 50W, and the Rockford Fosgates can handle 50W RMS and 100W peak. So, you really don't need much of an amplifier to utilize these, but an aftermarket head unit and aftermarket and at least a 2-channel amp for the mid-bass drivers would be recommended. The aftermarket head unit can be wired up for the tweeters as front speakers and the rear speakers as rears. Then just wire in the mid-bass drivers using the front speaker RCA pre-out at the head unit.

Thanks for all the info! Was going to ask you, did you leave something out of your post where you said you'd recommend an aftermarket head unit, at least a 2 channel amp, was there another thing where you just put the word "aftermarket"? Also, those low pass filters, they were wired up with the stock speaker wire connected to the single set of wires side, then the double set side that has the two coming out of it, one is wired to the speaker and the other was just cut. Not sure what it was connected to, where would that set of wires go normally? Not sure if he had an amp or what, but it looks like the Infinity speakers were just connected to stock wiring.

Sorry, had a typo in my text regarding the aftermarket comment.

As for the low pass filter, the cut end goes to the door harness, the extra set was likely for wiring up an additional speaker.

Who knows what was wired up before; its like 18 year old car audio stuff.
