I just got my Tein H-tech springs to put in, and went ahead and took the front strut off. When I bought the car, they just had KYB GR-2's put on, so I figured I would be ok. But when I took the stut off, I realized all there is is the black dust cover, no bumpstop. I didn't get to looking at the other ones to see if they were missing, but was wondering if I needed these? I could see if I was lowering the car a lot, but since I am not I was wondering if they were necessary.

I only lowered my car about an inch, but I re-used my stock bumpstops by cutting off the smallest section on the end. My car doesn't sit that low (well... for a lowered car) but it still goes through potholes and bumps, since this is Maine.

If I were you, I'd pull them out of a local junkyard, or pick some up from a local auto store.

Bumpstops are neccessary to prevent your suspension hitting metal on metal on drastic changes. How could you NOT need them?

OK Im definitely going to try and see if the dealer has them tomorrow. Thanks a lot guys
