forward facing oil filter housing

I'm currently putting together my new build and I also had my balance shaft deleted.

Was wondering if anyone needed to port the oil relief on a forward facing oil filter housing from a might max to cure high oil pressure.

Its a tough call, I did it on mine, but then my oil pressure only reached 65 PSI at WOT. I installed a 3/8 high nut of the same diameter in under the sprind and brought my pressure to a nice 85 PSI when warm. If I had to do it again, I would do the same only because it was simpler to shim the spring than to take the OFH off again.

I forgot to mention I also added a Kiggly HLA, dont know if that affected my oil pressure at the block. I still stand by do in it and then just compensating with the spring.

Wait and just find out if your going to have to or not, because you can always take more off but you cant put any back on.

Yea I figure, thats why I bought 5 extra ofh gaskets just incase .

I never knew that they ran at a higher pressure?!? How much of a difference is it?

Nice! Guess when my car runs again I'll have to check the pressure I never had an aftermarket gauge In the car. I just installed one a week ago. Lol
