I just saw this pump on the FP site and was curious about it. I've searched, no real info about it. I would usually go with the Walbro but my rule is.. If FP makes it, ITS GOOD.

Anyone running it? In your opinion which is better?

Yeah I have never heard of anyone using a FP. Walbro I know is proven and everyone I know uses them.

I ordered one from FP for my recent build and it turns out it IS a Walbro - they just make it for FP.

I have about 2.2K miles on the build with the new pump in and its working fine. My dyno run on E85 was 429 hp so the FP pump must be working properly to have achieved that :)

Oh, my "old" 255 lph Walbro whined loud as shit and very obnoxious and annoying it was so loud. This new one from FP is very quiet, almost barely noticeable, even with the fuel tank close to empty.

By no means am I saying FP would ever do such a thing, but just to put it on record you have to be careful what you buy when it comes to fuel pumps. Apparently there are a ton of Chinese imiations on the market which can appear to be the real deal but do not perform or sound the same as a Walbro.

Walbro forgeries

If FP is indeed selling a relabeled Walbro at a cheaper price with great success, more power to them....I'd run one for sure.

The fp pump uses a different pump style than the standard walboro 255 (it's like impeller vs. some other type or the other way around). It doesn't die as quick, flows more, and is quieter. Leave it to FP to know wtf is up.

I was curious about this as well. Now I know what one to buy!

I received an FP pump with the turbo and manifold deal, and it certainly isn't a re-labeled Walbro.
