Fog light bracket question

Are '89-'90 eclipse foglight brackets different then '91? I bought '91 TSI fog lights thinking it would bolt right up. The problem i ran into is that the brackets don't line up where the foglights mount. The bumper style I have is the non-TSI/GSX bumper (if u still don't know check my gallery). I don't want to buy '89-'90 brackets if they don't work, any input please. Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I would imagine that they are different since you said that the '91 bracket doesn't line up. I know that Mitsubishi had factory fog lights available as a dealer installed option for the '90 Eclipses and the '91 base and GS Eclipses. Visually, the fog lamps themselves look identical to the GSX fog lamps, but I would imagine that different brackets were used to fit them to the bumper style that you have. So, I think you need '90 Eclipse fog lamp brackets.

Stock fogs are crap anyway... better off using aftermarket.

I just bought the stock fogs plus the stock fog lights fill up the whole space, that I like...I guess I'll take my chances and buy some '90 Eclipse brackets.

I agree about them filling the entire space for the fog lights. I also liked how they fit in there perfectly when I first saw them way back when.

Well on the turbos it's actually better to run smaller fogs to allow more air through the SMIC. They do look good but the reflector design is so old that the beam pattern is really not very good... even with 55w bulbs.
