kirtland,
Hey, i want to run the wires from fog lights to the factory swith. Does anyone know what each of the wires on the switch are any help would rock.

so no one has tried to adapt a factory fog light switch to aftermarket fog lights. If this has been tried but does not work just let me know. Im having problems finding one ( panal) at junk yard around here and dealer shipp want an arm and a leg. SO if and one know anything tell please.

nice of you to reply to the second post, but you should have replied to the first post. i too am interested in knowing how to do it.

What I did on mine was just run an after market rocker switch and mount it in the center console along with another switch for some other lights down by the radio, It looks pretty good. I too tried to hook my fogs up to the factory switch when i had my eclipse but had no luck with it. :toobad:
:talon: -Cale

thats how i have mine right now, but id much rather prefer to use the stock button, i like the position

How can it be switched so the fogs come on with the running lights instead of the headlights(like in Schnellen's pic)? I would prefer to use the factory switch instead of adding another switch.

Maybe I don't understand the difficulty there....

All the wiring harnesses have the switches for the fog lights, and all you would have to do is cut the existing wire, one positive and one ground, and swap them for the new foglight wires. Then it works with the switch. On the other hand, if you don't or can't find any of the wires, just run a relay so that the wires go to the stock switch, one is postive, one is negative, and one is accessory so it will light up at night!

If you want the fogs to go off when the driving lights are on, use a wire with an inline fuse, jump the fog light fuse to the tail light fuse and there you go. If you drive it around a ton like that and have some really powerful fogs, I would just as soon not do that as eventually the wires may melt etc for having them on so much!

that's exactly what I did. I took off the stock fogs, mounted my new ones, soldered the wires to my new foglights and now it works with the factory switch
