So I'm having a vexing little issue with my fog lamps.
I'll turn on the switch and the driver's side lamp will come on for a brief moment, and then shut off. The passenger's side lights up and stays on.
Turning the switch off and back on again yields just the passenger light. If I let things "cool down" again, or come back to the car later, it'll do the same. This tells me that the bulb itself hasn't burned out, so I'm at a loss.
Perhaps related, though I doubt the switch influences the two lamps separately, it should be noted that my cruise control switch is also completely dead and no longer turns the master cruise LED on, so I can't use cruise control.
I'm purchasing a cruise/fog/mirror switch on eBay, with the hopes of restroing my cruise control function. (CC keeps my speed in check and is awesome for the 100 mile trips to the family cottage.)
Should I even look at fixing this until I get the new switch in place? How much is involved in swapping out the entire switch unit?
Your help is much appreciated!
