so i was just looking at this fmic, and well i like it because it looks like you can keep the stock 2gb foglights but i'm not sure. any thoughts on it? i know people normally go with the SSAC ones but they seem to be out of stock for a while so i came across this one and the price didnt seem to bad. any advice is more then welcome. Talon/Eclipse 2g short route fmic kit
:dsm:

edit* just trying to get rid of the SMIC and those stupid braded hose pipes for the ic, just wondering if anyone has had success with this ic and if they were able to keep the stock 2gb fogs.

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead but I too am curious as to why they both sell the same kit.

On ebay the Punishment Racing kit is 10 dollars more expensive after shipping than the CXRacing but everything about them looks identical. If you guys are just a reseller that's great, and I'd certainly rather support PR, but this whole thing seems a little weird.

This topic has been covered in many other threads the PR kit is made by CX Racing under the specific specs given by PR. I have one of these kits for my 1g fitment is great it just needed some triming for the piping you can see how I did it on my blog. I also had one on my 91 awd that had no issues what so ever.

You two do realize that this was a thread about the 2g FMIC? Most people know the story about the 1g kits... a member on here made the first kits and then later sold off the setup...
your one of the first people that I've seen say the piping fit good honestly most of the people I've talked to hated the piping and said it would make the Bov hit the hood Or just wouldn't line up perfect ... this the 1G kit I'm talking about...

I did have a little issue with the bov but it still clears other fitments I didnt think were that bad and I have heard the 2g kit is even easier than the 1g and I am planning on getting it for my 2g also.:thumb:

I actually bought the E-Bay "knock-off" kit last night and today i find this thread ROFL
Well, seems like I'm gonna be posting some pics and info about the kit once its installed.
And on a side note I'm running the factory setup right now.
The main reason why i went with the kit is that I got some upgrades planned in the near future and my factory BOV is leaking like a SOB at 12PSI.

Anyone got a stock T25 compressor housing that they have kicking around and willing to part with please PM me :sneaky:

Maybe the pictures have changed. But has anyone compared both pictures, The placment of the pipes and couplers is different. The back ground is the same, but thats it.

Just so everyone knows CX Racing didn't steal anything and either did PR. PR joined up with CX to make an afordable SSAC Kit for everyone to enjoy. Since CX had the more experiance in building such it more of a help for PR. Yes they have the same picture there parteners in this. Your welcome Tim.

There is a thread where a guy compared a greddy intercooler to the Punishment Racing one. He tested both on a dynojet with the same car and the PR one out preformed the Greddy one. The hp diffrence was around 7.8 more and tq was about 10.62. So you can say this is cheeap all you want when it out preforms one that cost twice as much, I think it's a great deal. On top of that there is alot of people that will back up the costumer service by these guys. If you work with them they will work with you.

This Punishment Racing FMIC kit is the same exact that just-intecoolers on eBay sells, im suprised it is cheaper, but punishment stole everything from them even their pics!

eBay Motors: 95-99 Eclipse Talon 2G DSM Intercooler kit BOV Bolt on (item 330297104204 end time Jan-03-09 16:48:43 PST)

... i can also agree that punishment racing did not steal any of these pics and i know that for a fact.

when PR first came out with their 1g bolt on kit the owner and operator of another forum called

dsmftw.com

bought the kit and gave PR the pics to use. so if anything CX racing stole the pics from PR. this was not brought up to cause a fight but do not accuse someone of something unless you are 100% positive of it. PR is a great company and does not deserve to be wrongly accused of anything.

just my 2 cents
