will it make a different if i use a muffler pipes instead or stainless pipes. i have a 420a motor am planning to put a customize fmic pipes using a 2'5 muffler pipes.

What do you mean by muffler piping? Exhaust piping? I hope you dont plan on using exhaust flex sections. Just so you know most exhaust piping is steel anyways.....people have used aluminium piping and steel piping.

There are better purpose built IC pipes, but exhaust piping should work, metal pipe is metal pipe. I have read and seen pics in the gallery with all kind of DIY IC pipes, ranging from pvc water pipe to silicon radiator hose. It all depends on how long you want the pipes to last and how well they hold under psi. I, like many others, prefer a clean looking system, but like I mentioned, people have gotten pretty creative with stuff they got laying around the garage and or kitchen.

^Your absolutely right about that...and I wouldn't use a "McGyver" setup either, but you should see the stuff people post onto the classifieds, makes you think that just about anything will work.

Just make sure if you buy steel "exhaust" pipe that it's mandrel bent and not press or kink bent. Then have someone tig it all up for you nice and paint or powdercoat them so they don't rust.

i was planning to do that after all set and done bfor i hook it up i was going to powdercoat it so it won't rust. and yes there straight steel.
