I've been searching around but i have not found a good read on FMICs and I am looking to buy one soon. Is there anywhere i can read about them, or can someone just write out the basics? I have questions like:

-How do you compare FMIC? flow rate, cooling rate, size, water capacity (i just made up those phrases, but thats what im looking for, like what do you look at to see if ones better than the other)

-How do you know the FMIC will work with your car without being recquired to change anything else?

-What size FMIC fits the 2gb bumper and fills up all that open space, but isnt way too big for someone pushing the evo3 16g to the max?

BTW I NEED THE WHOLE KIT, INCLUDING UPPER AND LOWER PIPING.
etc...
thanks.

i want to keep my fog lights too, so ill read these, and hope they let me keep my fog lights. donmagician, did you not see right next to what i said, i wrote I MADE THESE TERMS UP??

Oh, I saw it. It still puzzles me why you would "make up" water capacity as a characteristic pertaining to intercoolers, though. That's just too funny.

Made me laugh too. I second the XS kit... LOVE MINE! You will have to lose your stock fogs but you can always replace them with aftermarkets!

yeah...about the whole making up terms, you're looking for what you made up? Little on the confusing side, but I guess I won't get into that...okay but yes I would throw my vote in for the XS intercooler. Ditch the foglights; you want a fast car, not one where you can see where you're going :thumb: You can keep the stock bumper (minus a little trimming of the bumper and beam support). For less than 800...for less than 500...damn, for ~300 you get the entire kit INCLUDING t-bolt clamps and silicone hoses.

i lkove mine, sure i had to do some trimming, but the fmic is huge..xspower fmic rocks!

and for less than half of the dejon kit i was going to buy (which requires the same trimming etc for the install)

Isn't it bad to go to big? It creates turbo lag from my understanding, so why would i go with this HUGE XS one if I have a evo III 16g
